I just machine washed and dried a comforter. I've never had anything other than duvets so I am not used to comforter that I can't iron. How do I get the wrinkles out? I warmed it back up in the dryer (wash instructions say to dry on low) and hung it over a railing hoping some of the wrinkles will just fall out. Any other advice?

My MIL is coming tomorrow and I don't want them to see a wrinkly comforter!

I think wrinkly looks warm :)

You might try steaming it

Why can't you iron it ? Does it appear to have polyester batting ?

What about hanging it in the bathroom and running the hot water to build up steam

I like it when my quilts look wrinkly. Makes them look like an antique.

I guess I assumed that if you can't dry it on warm or hot, you can't iron it. The tag does not mention anything about ironing. It's a Nautical comforter.

Put it back in the dryer with two or three tennis balls and a softener sheet or a damp washcloth. The wrinkles will come right out...Just remember to pull it right out of the dryer and put it on the bed.

Are you sure it was washable and not Dry Clean only?

Don't sweat the small stuff. Your MIL is coming to visit you not your comforter. It will be ok.

That's what I do, too. It seems to work well as long as your dryer is big enough for it to get a tumble going.
