Default Lisa Marie (chimp) quilt

Looks like one of our snuggly quilts found a loving home.

Lisa Marie with Stuffed Animal

It's been nearly 9 months since this sweet, petite, young chimpanzee made Save the Chimps her new home.

You may remember her from the photos we shared soon after her arrival, hugging a plush toy, snuggled in blankets. She still loves her blankets but now she also enjoys snuggling members of Kiley's family including Jaybee, Kiley, and Ariel.

It is interesting how so many lost or ill primates enjoy the company of a stuffed animal. Keep up the excellent job with rescuing these precious animals.

She is so adorable! Brings back memories of my childhood when a neighbor had a little monkey that I used to go see after school. She was outside sometimes at her dog house-like but was mostly a inside pet. I just loved her & always wanted one but my folks wouldn't let me. Looks like she is loving her quilt & stuffed animal.

So great that someone is willing to save these creatures that look adorable but are wild and should have been able to live in their natural habitat if only man would let them have enough space and security. Glad she has a good home now with her own blankies and toys.

Just to clarify - I did not rescue this cutie. She was saved by Save the Chimps and lives in a sanctuary with many 'families' at that beautiful place. I do NOT believe anyone should own these, or any other, exotic animals as pets. The link to the organization was removed from my original post by moderator, so please 'google' Save the Chimps" if you are interested in learning more or just to look at beautiful pictures of their families.

thanks for the add-on to your original post. Glad to hear she is with "her own" and not a "pet". I agree with your sentiments on that subject. Will follow your google info. The questioning, curious look on that primates face is so close to human...you wonder what is going on in that little brain......
