When my youngest started school and getting on the bus, he's open his arms and grab on to the sides of the bus. I had to pull his arms free so the bus driver could pull away. It was awful! Only lasted a few days though, and then it was the highlight of his day!

He is a cutie. I taught for 35 years. It is amazing the start times now. It use to be school started the day after Labor Day, now in our area they started on the 15th of August. One question, he only has school 4 days a week not 5? Have budget cutbacks shorted the school week?

Honestly I know why. I'm thinking it's because it's preschool. My 2 older kids didn't go to preschool so I don't know if it's normal to go 4 days a week.

Sounds like he has made a great adjustment in ideas about school. My next to youngest started Kindergarten this year and loves it. They come home with the funniest sayings. One little girl in his class was sent to the Principles office, why? She did not make good choices.

I think its a sad day for Mom's too. I remember, just like yesterday taking my son to kindergarden. I cried when I got home, thinking my baby was growing up way too soon. And then after the first few days they do not even miss us !!
