    Secure the tree top with clear fishing line to a doorway if possible. We used to do that for a former Christmas tree climber. Cat is so cute, do you really need anything else?

    Yes, we have 2 more orange babies but one listens when I say NO and the other one is too old to care

    My sister-in-law used to put her tree in the playpen to keep (lots of)cats and (4 36 months apart) kids away from it. Are playpens even still around? It's been a long time since my family needed a playpen.

    I actually screwed a cup hook (or an o-ring screw) near the ceiling in my house and tied the tree to it for a couple years when I had kitties in the house.
