How beautiful! Is that natural, or was someone really clever to come up with a way of coloring a plant's blooms?

Sorry folks, this blue is not natural. I grow orchids and have been a long time orchid society member. Orchid growers have tried forever to get a true blue color in orchids. This is artifically colored some how, otherwise these orchids would be selling for thousands of dollars. My best guess would be there is coloring in the medium that the orchid is growing in and the plant takes up that color as the flowers are forming. That being said, it is still pretty and can be enjoyed.
