We have a firm foam mattress W/ 4" memory foam topper. It is about 5 years old and not cheap. I don't sleep good on it. It is high which makes it very easy to get in and out of bed. Not sure if it a tempurpedic but at least the same. We have a matching box spring or whatever it's called.

We just got a Loom and Leaf mattress. We considered the Tufts and Needle also. It is pretty pricey, but we are really liking it and our backs are feeling better. My husband wanted the Loom and Leaf relaxed firm because it has a border that makes it easier to sit in bed (to read, for example). Despite them saying these foam mattresses now don’t make you hot , I disagree and don’t use as many blankets. Good luck with your search. It is hard to decide if you can’t test the mattress . The Consumer Report magazine came out about a week after our mattress was delivered. As I said, we are very pleased (and I was a bit nervous). Excellent customer service with delivery (this one does not come in a box!).
