    I'm having the same worry about another member, who hasn't read a PM.

    What I am going to do is send a letter the old fashioned way. I'll include a self-addressed stamped envelope back to me. If something has happened to her, I'm thinking that a family member will open it on her behalf and send me a note. Or simply, maybe my friend does not have a computer or access to the internet any longer.

    I've noticed them missing also.
    Doesn't a pm notice go to one's email as well ??
    I know mine do.

    When you do, put a note on outside of envelope that it may be opened by a family member in case of emergency, and explain why you did that in the letter in case your friend opens it herself.
