Default lost mojo

I read where a lot of QB members lose there mojo for sewing, I've been like that all week then sitting in my sewing room looking at all the things I have....machines, fabrics, threads templates, tools.......well you get the picture.....then it occured (sp) to me maybe not a loss of mojo but too much of a good thing like a kid in a toy store can't makeup my mind what to do what to start what to finish...ect ect.......just saying

Is it possible you have the summer slow downs? In years past, very little got accomplished during the summer but I came roaring back in the fall with no yard work to do and cooler temperatures. Some other threads about this subject suggested a small project, that you can complete in an afternoon to get the creativity flowing. I think I would just relax and enjoy the break. Maybe do a little organizing so the sewing room is ready when you are.

I've had a quilt that I'm hand quilting sitting on my ottoman laughing at me for months. I'm almost done the quilting. I really need to just make up my mind to start working on it again and I'll be fine. I've done a few other smaller things in the meantime but this one continues to laugh at me. Maybe because it's 'just for me' and no deadlines involved???

I agree with "the Summer slow down". I want to be outside doing other things now & save the quilting for when the weather turns cold. Don't worry, I am sure the quilting bug will bite you again soon.

I'm having the opposite feeling.. It has been so hot, or humid that I don't feel like going out, or running errands.. I spent my day sewing.. When it is cool out, I feel like running..

I sew most days and/or evenings sewing. I haven't lost my mojo ever. I'm always anxious to finish one quilt so I can start another. I hope it keeps up.

I hope you get your mojo back soon. I am not an outside person.

That can be a problem. Try picking out some fabrics from your stash that you think work well together and then see what happens with them. Total creative freedom, no pressure sewing, big or small, you control it all! Sometimes I get a good result, sometimes I don't, but I'm always over the blahs when I'm done. Another thing I do is take some of the UFOs that are donated to my guild, sew them together, border them and marvel at the results!

Hope you're over the blahs soon!

I'm in the process of working on a wall hanging quilt and having a hard time starting, trying to get the right fabrics not real sure or care how big it gets just want to be able to start. Finally found from all places a couple items I need that need to be appliqued, out of a children's activity book. Should be just the right size.
