I ran across this video for making clothing patterns and was fascinated by the system. Interesting to watch especially for those of us who sew clothes. It's called the Lutterloh Pattern Making System. Oh, and BTW - I found it cheaper on the internet than on their site. Amazon lists it from private sellers and there are probably more, (eBay etc) but I didn't really search for more because I don't very often make clothes.

I purchsed this system a few years ago but have not used it yet. I have aproblem with the design of the patterns. Living way down south, these clothes would be too hot. They are designed with cooler weather in mind. I also am more conservative in my clothes.

I also have this drafting system. I did a pattern for a pair of pants, but never made them.

I went to a seminar about this system years ago, maybe like 20. And although the concept sounds good, pattern drafting this way is a bit cumbersome. And you will never get a perfect pattern with 'just two measurements', your shoulders may not be a size 14 but your bust is, or you may have a shorter torso and need to adjust back length. I have used the Patternmaster system, but before I made the commitement I used one of the Click It patterns so I could get a feel for it. Click it is also a good idea if you think you will just be making one specific kind of clothing like tops or skirts.
You can also check out Wild Things at the site, which is free and will give you a better idea of how the system works.

I have this system, drafted a vest with it that fit beautifully with my big boobs and smaller waist and big hips. I made the vest twice, loved it and then when DH started getting weaker everything was sorta forgotten. I know where it is...I'm sure I can find it. Might even use it again.

Which tells me right there that while it was a very good system, there must have been something wrong with either it or me, for me to not want to use it often. I'll have to think about that, considering how expensive it was, way back then.
