It would surprise you how much of the price you pay for every item you purchase in any retail store is because of theft. The honest customers pay for the theft, it is built into the price. So much stuff ends up at flea markets, ebay and little corner markets. I worked at a grocery for 16 years and it would surprise you what gets stolen and how much. So if you feel sorry for someone caught stealing remember you are paying for that theft with every item you purchase.

The ladies from thecross stitch shop I visited in Catonville, MD told me people stole their samples off the wall. It is just sad that people feel it is ok to steal.

In our area we are having trouble with the same thing. The shops have to nail everything down. And a clerk has to fallow you around the store. I love the company so I talk to the girls. But if I ever saw anything I would sing like a bird as loud as I could. One crazy shopper cut the fabric right off the bolt! These are thieves not quilters or woman. Trash not fit to be around humans. Thinking about it don't want them around my dog either.
