DH $ I went for a ride in the country. We stopped at a pub for a quick lunch. It was like walking back in time old ad posters everywhere. There was one for Pepsi Your number one nutritional drink (I didn't know that).

My go anywhere is a trip into the further hills and have a meal is my favourite occupation now a days after quilting. It blows cobwebs away, see beautiful countryside and a meal I don't have to cook or wash dishes.

My husband and I really enjoy taking a drive off the normal road. When we lived in Missouri we found all kinds of different stuff, old and not used anymore. We have done a little of the off road here and see new stuff every time. That is old, new stuff. Have fun.

I too live in the PNW and my husband and I love to just get in the car (convertible weather now!) and just go. No set plan, just point it in one direction. Some weekends we just get an over night bag together at the whim of the moment and point the car in a direction and go. Whenever we get tired, we stop for the night. Have had great adventures that way.
