He's ADORABLE!

We lost our beloved Belle (rotty) a year ago on Feb 3.
I know the feeling of emptiness in the house, especially as my DH job has him on the road a lot.
But I still can't bring myself to get another....not yet.

You will survive the 'puppy stage' just fine...and in time will laugh about a lot of it :)

What soulful eyes. He is adorable! I just love labs, I have a yellow, Charie...all 108 lbs of him, but he thinks he is a lap dog!

So sorry about your Jake.
My son has a yellow lab although I have never been a pet sort of person, my son and Rocco lived with us for almost a year and I am now so attached to him. We had him here in his early puppy stage and enjoyed him so much. They are chewers, you have to watch them constantly. He had a time out spot that we sent him to when he did somthing wrong and to this day if hes here and grabs the dishtowel he will drop it in front of me then sccot off to timeout. They are very smart and lovable, and they do think they are a lap dog. If I had to get a pet a Lab would be my choice.

They are also easy to train i.e. get your slippers, drop your remote...right there to pick it up for you.
I love my lab/boxer as she was & still is a heavens send to me when I had my back surgery! NOW... If only she could be trained to clean the house & bring me my coffee!!! :P

So sorry you had to say good by to Jake.

Here's wishing you a happy "puppyhood" and may Bailey grow up to be a very polite and handsome gentleman like my dear grand dog Sampson!
