I love my Guild meetings. I have made many friends. Some of us have formed a little sewing club. We meet twice a month and sew together. There are about 12of us but we usually get 8 or 9 on any given week. We even go on retreats in our Guild and also in our smaller group. I call them my sewing Sisters! I am retired so I have more time tosew. i love it!

How fun! As somewhat of a social type person I enjoy meeting people even if it's for a one time engaging conversation.
5 yrs ago I was walking the dog with her cone of shame on. Miya had been very recently spayed, had leg wraps on due to dew claw removal and had puppy teeth extractions, needless to say was quite the sad sight. A new neighbor had to rush over with concern and some how a quilting friendship was born!

That's a great story. You must follow through with the quilt guild. It reminds me of how I met my now "best friend" just a couple of years ago. We sat next to each other at a craft seminar and started up a conversation ... which is still going!

I just wanted to update that I did go to the guild meeting tonight. It was really fun. I saw the lady I met at the car show and sat with her. Signed up for a Laura Heine workshop in January and had a really good time
