I stayed up late watching the first couple of rescues, too. Right now they have just gotten the 12th miner.

I have been so impressed with the Chilean people. It seems like they are so well organized. Allowing only one camera in the area then giving everyone the ability to see from that camera was a great idea. I loved watching the Chilean president standing by the rescue shaft and hugging each miner as he came up. Kudos!

what a wonderful day for the miners and their familys - I got up an hour earlier than normal just so I could see what was happening - will definitely go down in the history books!! Someone up there was looking out for them thats for sure.

It's so exciting to watch, I love how the President of Chile has been there the entire time and hugged each miner as he emerged....28th just came out, won't be long now....Happy Day

i couldn't watch during the day and i just got home. Wow, things are moving along - looks like i might actually be able to stay up and watch the last one.

I hope CNN keeps going back to see the miners as they come up.

It is truly a glorious and blessed day!!

As "Sewmuch" said - I'm VERY impressed with the Chili President - he greeted and hugged each and every one of those men as they came up - not just wander through the hospital after they were all assembled...
