Default A Mini Cell Phone Purse

My pastor's wife fell last week and broke her leg. The same leg she had knee surgery on a year ago. :-( While at her house, delivering a meal, her phone went off...inside her shirt. She laughed and pulled it from her shirt, explaining she had no where to keep it on her because she couldn't carry it in her hands while using crutches and with her leg brace, jeans were out so she had no pockets. So, I was thinking of trying to make her a bag that would hang around her neck, but wouldn't be too heavy or cumbersome.

I posted a thread yesterday, asking for bag ideas. Someone mentioned the "Bare Essentials Bag" and that reminded me that I have a similar bag pattern. So, this morning I whipped one up. They really are a 30 minute project and I love how it came out. It has a large, back pocket (the silver one) for her cell phone and three inner pockets for other things, like health insurance cards or money for when she needs to go out to the doctor. Thanks for looking!

Very, very nice! Good idea to include the extra pockets for other essentials!

That a great back for her purposes! I'm sure she will appreciate it! Did you crochet the strap?

Lol, no, I don't think I could ever crochet something that nice. It's a ribbon I bought at Wal-Mart a while back.

Oh she will be so pleased. That looks great. My sister fell and broke her left arm and right knee! So she asked for dresses she could get into easily. I found patio dresses at Dillards. So Easy i think was the name of the designer. Not a quilt, but they helped her too.
