They use the box after they are cleaned because they have to inspect to make sure you did a good job. THEN, they have to "christen" the box again. Mine sit right at the door waiting. Once in a while, they'll stick their head in the bag to make sure nothing "suspicious" is in there lol

I think it is the litter box phenomonen, that they HAVE to christen the clean box. Mine even have a pecking order of who ALWAYS has to go first!
