[I don't know if it's that unusual for girls to become mothers so young in most 'underdeveloped' countries. you would think the life expectancy is shorter because of enviroment, nutrition health care etc, so younger is perfered ( or just a bunch of dirty old men..).. and when menstruation begins 10 or 11 yrs old... the body's ready..[/quote]

They are able to become pregnant, but I must humbly disagree that their bodies are "ready". Their bones and muscles are not ready to carry, much less deliver a baby. But I imagine that's what you meant by "ready",...that their bodies are able to become pregnant?...

yes, let me restate that.. the body is ready to ovulate.
having been a shockingly young parent myself; I have first hand knowledge that the muscles & bones can ( right or wrong)handle a baby at that age

Ready or not, it's true. When i was still volunteering at our local hospital, one patient was 11 years old with twins from her mother's boy friend. Mom didn't want her to abort, "she needed the child support money" so of course the nurses called in CPS.

Been anyone I knew I'd have done some surgery with a rusty butcher knife!!!
