Mice are part of the food chain as are rats. Thanks to a rather wet winter we have LOTS of both. Mr. Bean, the kitty is a happy camper - only sometimes he brings them when they are still alive. Then the hunt is on. At that point, we let Heidi our Lab/Hound loose and she takes care of business. Gotta love nature.

SNAKES!!!!!! I had rather have a mouse than a snake. Get a cat and don't feed it, then it will get the mice.......

I cannot tell you how much I hate snakes. I will go into hysterics if a snake comes near me. I even hate to see them on TV. When we lived in New Mexico we had rattle snakes. We bought geese and they kept the snakes AND the mice under control. If I was allowed to have geese in my area I would have them and would not need any other form of mouse or snake control.

LOL, I live on the river and we have problems with cottonmouths. I just killed a large black snake that got into my pigeon loft and was killing my young pigeons and eating the eggs. grrrrrrr

So far, no more mice since the day of the OP. Maybe, hopefully, they have decided to move away.
