Wonderful stories, I love them all, reminds me of shopping with my son aged about four, living in Western Australia at the time, very hot temps 40C, he said as we passed the toy shop, 'If you don't buy me a toy, I will lose my temperature!' I loved it, as he was usually the best little boy, no tantrums ever when out shopping!

When my oldest was little he loved using big words. One day we were sitting at the table eating lunch and he very seroiusly looked at me and said "Mom, those sure were malicious sandwiches."

My nephew is 9 & autistic. My sister has to fight him to get him to go for a haircut & can't figure out why. I was commenting on how long his hair was & how hot it is in AZ & suggested he come with me for a haircut. He looked at me quite seriously & said, "I can't. My hairs cry out in pain when they are cut." He then started laughing & said that works with his mom every time. I loaded him up & away we went. He has a buzz cut & is so much cooler now.
