Movie Recommends Needed (on DVD)
#1
I'm in need of a good movie. GOOD.
That means enjoyable, heartwarming and/or uplifting. It can be a love story, a personal triumph or journey, a saga, whatever.
Nothing bittersweet, nothing evil/brutal/horrific. Nothing depressing.
I don't care if there is sex, violence or bad language in it, though by violence I mean someone can shoot someone but I don't want to see any torture or anyone going through hurt.
Has to be something I can find on DVD and preferably should be something released in the last 5 years.
So what do you all recommend?
And thanks!

Hulu, great suggestion! I've used it before, not recently. I'll go see what they have.
The Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof are both wonderful classics. I haven't seen Mama Mia yet, I don't think, so I'll check that out. Thanks!
Million Dollar Baby... that's another one that I started watching and stopped. I got this idea that she ends up paralyzed or something. Tell me it's not so, and I'll get it again.
Seabiscuit... not an teribly interesting subject to me, but I have heard the name of the movie. A good movie is a good movie! I'll get it.

I you haven't seen Bridget Jones' Diary, both 1 and 2, I recommend them both. Language is questionable, but if a few F words aren't offensive to you, you just might like it. I enjoyed both of them immensely, but 2 better than 1. Very much chick flicks.
