What amazing pics. Is that a bird feeder the bear is raiding? Seems like these fellows are pretty bold, do they go away if people are about? Sorry about all the questions, but we don't have bears here. We have snakes, but they mostly disappear if you make a lot of noise or the dogs are around (still wear boots when I go down the hill to the woodshed though!).

Yep I would've wet my undies. That scared me and I'm not there. And I thought it was bad when the coons would raid my birdfeeder, and throw it on the ground. I'll take coons any day over that!

He has been around since he was little his mother used to bring her cubs around. One year she had 2 yearlings and 3 new babies in out chicken run. They often come around we have pictures when we were standing outside and he was just casually raiding our feeder. He didnt stay long he didnt like the dog barking at him you can scare them away if you make alot of noise but I love to see them We usually have to fix or buy new feeders though

I don't think I would want a bear in my yard! I like the squirrels we have better :)

Thanks for explaining...I think they are just beautiful creatures. I would feel pretty honoured having such an amazing animal visit my garden too.
