I blog surf and am amazed at how professional they all look. I'm not great on a computer and I use my cell phone to take pics. Should I spend a lot of money on a real camera hoping my blog will look more professional?

Your blog pictures look just fine!!! I might suggest at least one closeup of the quilt --- but then, I like closeups.
As for spending "lots" of money on a camera......well, that's according to how much is a lot to you --- mine cost $169.00 (and is now cheaper) and does a good job.

$169 is a lot of money to me for a camera. Does it do a lot? Are the pictures great? What brand is it? I know, I'm asking a lot of questions, but I could afford $169 if it's worth it.

Watch for sales --- it's been less than that recently.
It's a Panasonic DMC-251.
It does everything -- it zooms (12x - the higher the number the further it zooms), it does videos, mine has a rechargeable battery....as many pics as my DH takes, if we had to replace batteries we'd pay the cost of the camera in one year. We can go to automatic settings --- whether we're taking pics of snow, sports events, nighttime, it'll do it.
