What a pretty cat. It looks like they are saying no sewing until you pet me!

I have a cat like it and he is ornery. I keep my cats (3) out of my sewing room for a lot of reasons.

beautiful eyes and mitts too. how can you sew with a pretty face like that is looking for attention.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

A house cats life, sleep, get a massage, eat, sleep, get a massage, eat. She definitely knows where to find me. She won.

They are very good at that. They know how to interfere with ironing, too.

I lost my 12year old Pheobe in March and am missing her so. Your beautiful fur baby sure makes me smile.

Awe, what a sweet looking kitty! Makes me want to reach in the screen and pet him/her! I love to hear them purring! I had 2 cats a few years ago, can't have any where I'm living now.

Your cat is the spitting image of my Shadow. He likes to lie down and get in front of my needle too. I move him over and he takes one paw and lays it on the fabric.

I sew in my basement, and I used to lay out the squares on the floor (didn't have a design wall). Inevitably, I 'd go down the next morning to find the quilt in total disarray - yes, we had two mischievous cats who would go to any length to be involved. Only one thing to do - just love them MORE!

Love this ! Your cat looks as if it is saying "go ahead, make my day and reach for the machine". Got to love cats, so very different from dogs.

LOL, he's an overzealous quilt inspector - wants to inspect each seam as they happen!! I love his little white toesies! What a handsome fellow!

My youngest boy was my "helper". He liked to hang out and "hold down" my blocks for me as I was sewing them. I let him do it for awhile (because it's just so cute) but then he started trying to bat at the needle as I was sewing and that ended that! He also started eating thread and plucking pins out of the pincushion and chewing on them when I wasn't looking, so sadly for his own safety he's now banned from the sewing room. He sits outside the gate and yells at me until I give him a catnip mouse, LOL.

Here he is, saying, "LOOK HOW CUTE I AM! PET ME NOW! *purr purr purr*"
    So impossible to resist.

Guess he really wants your attention, or to give advice. I had one like that, only Mischief was an orange tabby, but he would effectively make me stop sewing. I had to draw the line when he tried to catch the thread moving through the sewing machine - he also helped me hand quilt my daughter's quilt by holding it down for me, guess he thought it was comfortable.

I know that look. Translation for non-cat owners: "Pet the cat!" Lol!

My solution is to sew for about 1 hour in my "cat-free" studio, then take a break tokitty-cuddle. It seems to work most of the time.
