"this is the first turkey baby of the season. they came into the front yard & the momma hopped on the bath & the baby followed. they stayed their drinking their fill & then hopped off
the dog was watching them out the front door window, she never made a sound. was probably trying to figure out how to slap mayo on rye bread"

we have lots of wild turkeys that are around here. they make a big mess in they congregate too much. We were driving one day and saw a number of big ones with about 40 babies-- walking down the side of a busy bypass--last spring. You should have seen everyone slow down the cars and trucks so as not to run over them. Same with baby ducks in the wild-have not seen any hatches of ducks or geese yet this spring. I think the high water wiped out the nesting areas.

Thanks for such a cute picture! Now I don't want to eat Thanksgiving turkey!
As Linda McCartney once said " Don't eat anything with a face". :)
I really would like to go vegetarian but haven't quite gotten there!
