You have a nice home! Now you have a chance to make yourself a few quilts and snuggle in. Love what you did to the kitchen walls! :)

Morning, I love the openness of your home and can feel the vibes moving freely. With your oriental atmosphere, why not make a quilt to match the energy? I visit the Janet Wickell, About.com Guide website a lot to get inspirations for quilting. Check her out at the following:

And do keep us posted as you begin quilting.

Very nice. I agree with some of the others above. A nice wall hanging in Oriental fabrics would look lovely!!

So what is going on here? Are you asking someone to make you a quilt? Or did you want design ideas for making your own?

I believe this message board has a classifieds section if you want to hire a quilter.

For design ideas, I'd probably post the request in Main, but here is fine.

Your home has a lot of browns and tans, with some silver thrown in. It's mostly solids, so the first thing that occurs to me is to use small to medium-sized prints in a kaleidoscope or one-block wonder pattern. Have the majority of it be the browns, tans and silvers, with maybe some soft sage and pale greens and soft middling blues mixed in for accent. Batiks would be lovely, but florals (especially Asian-influenced ones) and/or swirling lines would give it some busy-ness, which would balance off the solids in the rest of your home.
