Teresa haven't you heard the old saying "DON'T feed the bears"?? Scary thought of it wandering around in your yard. The guy who lives on the next ranch over from us saw BIG cat tracks in his back yard area. They live amoung us don't they? Guess we have invaded their space. They were here long before we were. Stay safe!! crafty_linda_b

I was just watching the 11 o'clock news and they were talking about a bear wandering through someone's yard in Leesburg, VA.

we live in rapid city, across from a church and school. lots of houses and dogs kids etc. we have 5 deer at night and that of course has caused the mountain lions to start wandering around. its sad that the animals have been pushed into the towns. havent seen a mountain lion, but a man walking his dog one morning saw one and ran back home and got his camera and got a picture of its footprints in the mud over by the elem.school.'

Wow... I'd be seriously worried with it hanging around...what happens when you run out of fruit?

I know we feed the racoons but dang girl...that is one big lug of fur with some razor claws.

You might want to call bearbusters.

Watch yourself and don't let your camera happy hubby outta the house at night the silly goose.

We have all kinds of animals around here with apple, pear, peach cherry grapes and fig trees and all kinds of berries, but I haven't gotten any pictures yet. I'm afraid I'll get a glimpse of Bigfoot and would never go outside after dark again.

Also the bears here usually move on after the fruit is gone.
