my sewing companion

mine gets as close to the hot iron as he can without getting scorched. makes me terrified, but he's happy. gotta love them! it's disastrous if i try to get him to move. lost one iron that way, and nearly the cat, too. what's your beautiful kitty's name?

Mine likes to get close to the iron also. So I hit the steam button (pointed AWAY from the cat!) and that usually scares her off. I hate to scare her, but am just trying to teach her to stay clear of the iron. I am so afraid she will burn her little nose or paw! She has now started laying on the opposite end of the ironing board. But she falls off sometimes because it is narrow and she likes to stretch and roll. Did I mention my cat is not the brightest star in the sky? But I love her anyway!

Gee, your sewing room looks like mine. I keep a towel over the ironing board so keep the fur off. I also made a "sleeping bag" for the kitties when they have to stay at the vet. That stays on the ironing board too. Most times they leave when I come in to sew.
