Towards the end (maybe where you choose color) there is a boy you check that says transparent and that gets rid of the white box in the background.

Go to this link:
http://www.mylivesignature.com/mls_wizard1_1.php
and follow the signature wizard instructions.
Once you get what you want, then choose 'want to use this signature'
then choose the 'generate BB code', then 'generate code for my hand written signature'. When the code is created, highlight it and copy it to the signature spot in your profile

If I remember correctly you scroll over the color box and click when you see what you want -- the big thing here is - if I remember correctly.

I couldnt get my color to change either. I clicked the color box and little arrows popped up, but it never changed color. I decided I didnt care. I live in the country and still have dial up so sometimes things dont work.
