Who would have known he had that long, slender face!!!

What a pretty fellow he is now.

It was really hard to trim him down I tell you what - he looked soooo cute but it's summer here and far too hot for him like that. He'll get his last major grooming in early September so he can be furry again for winter... I usually keep his face shaved for in between groomings. This is the longest his hair has gotten ever! I kind of miss it -

and yeah, after he has been groomed you can tell how chunky he is - we're working on that ;) Once I can start walking again he'll start whittling away the poundage again...
It is cute how they strut their stuff after being groomed. My Molly doesn't eat enough to get chunky. She is the first dog I have ever had that would not make a piggy of herself with food. Sometimes her bowl will not be emptied for 3 days.

The vet actually thinks he might have a medical issue. He is even on diet dog food - and we limit the amount he gets and he rarely gets treats or people food. He is just a little chunkster.
He and I had been on a great walking routine last fall and then my foot hurt so bad I could barely walk. Now that I have finally had that bunion removed, he and I will start walking again- once I can walk without pain again. It's only been 2 weeks since surgery but I'm getting there :D Hopefully soon we'll both be back on the exercise plan.
And no, hubby won't walk him for me. Hubby doesn't like to sweat at all... and is also starting to put on the pounds...

I do the same with Andy. He always looks so little when he gets groomed for the first time.
