Congratulations.

A preemie size pattern should fit pretty well. Isn't 2.6 kg about 5 pounds? My youngest son weighed 1053 grams (2 pounds) when he was born. Maybe I'm not converting correctly. But he was 13 weeks early, 14 years ago.

Please post pictures when you get a chance. I love baby pictures.

I had him at 51/2 lbs. Congratulations and Happy Holidays.

Orion Timothy does need a Christmas present( anything) or the other children will get upset. At least that is what happened when my youngest was born close to Christmas. How will Santa know?
It was sweet.

He is a little premature 5 weeks - so consequently Santa will have to work overtime in the next few days. Orion may end up with an IOU and picture of his quilt (I have the pattern and material) but still in the process of completing the his 2 brothers quilts - I think the way I'm going I'll still be sewing on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning (LOL)
Let's give him all we can...it converts to 5.75lbs! A good-sized peanut.

You could just make a Christmas stocking to bring him home in!! I think that is such a cute idea and I've seen it done several times.
