156 yard sales in 7 hours. Mostly sewing, but I did get dvds of Aristocats and Lady & the Tramp! All this for $12. Only bad part was there was no gardening supplies at any of the yard sales.

How can you claim you live "in the middle of nowhere" if you could find that many sales even listed, say nothing about visited!
Wish I could have spent the day with you!

because an hour of my 7 hours was driving to the town that was holding it and back. One of the best things about Indiana is the Town-wide yard sales! Next Saturday, the town is closer but a lot smaller. I'm guessing there will be less than 50 participating.

    yup....two potty breaks.

I playfully consider myself a professional at this, lol. While everyone else was lined up at Walmart and the gas stations, I went to the local park for my potty breaks. The gas station up the road from the park had a line out the door to use the single bathroom, while I had four stalls all to myself. I also carry my own bags, sunblock, water and a hat. I pack a portable lunch instead of stopping to eat at a fast food joint like everyone else. Instead of fighting the traffic for a spot right in front of the sales, I park around the corner and walk.

At one point, I looked up and realized I was over a mile away from where my car was parked. lol

Anyone wants to join me can, I do this pretty much every Saturday for the summer, as long as I can find a town that is holding one within driving distance.
