Are they easy to make? Knit? Crochet? They look very delicate. Very pretty.

thank you. They are super easy. I don't knit or crochet you just sew them on the sewing machine. I saw them at a quilt show I went to last month. The vendor there sold ribbon, yarn, embellishments and the "sticky paper" (very expensive) that you lay them out on. All the paper is, is tacky water soluable paper. You sandwich your scarf layout on that paper and cover it with a clear water soluable paper. Then you proceed to sew straight lines the length and width. Then you put it in warm water to "melt" the paper away and roll it up in a bath towel and dry it. My friend and I figured you could do it on any water soluable paper / stabelizer. (on sale or with coupon from JoAnn's) Once you lay it out, sandwich it, then pin it if you don't have tacky paper, you don't have to see the design just sew your grid lines and that is what holds it all together. The secret to it is using something that is very narrow and flat all around the edge to give it a little form and body. After I sew it and before I put it in the water hand sew embelishments on it. Much easier to do it when the paper is still on and I just sew them at cross sections of the grid lines. Hope this helps you.
