I don't have the twist carpet but we have had a Kirby for more than 20 years. Last week, DH was talked into a demo of a new one. The salesman was about the same age as our old Kirby. Anyway, $1700 later, we are now owners of the new Sentria Kirby system. It shampoos carpet, paints walls, vacuums anything you want and who knows what else. It is probably the last vacuum we will buy in this lifetime. One carpet I thought was beyond cleaning looks like new now. Kirby is the best!
