Default need help asap on color thread

I'm just about to start embroidering on this beach towel and cannot come up with good choice on color of
thread. The colors are pretty true on picture,a royal blue, aqua, light blue and white stripes. It is for my son's b/d tomorrow. Hope it turns out good. Anyway, what color do you think I should use? I wanted to use a dark blue, but undecided. I think any matching color is going to blend in the stripe. What do you think?

With these bright colors I might lean towards bright lime green, deeper purple, red orange or even coral. Of course, not all of those will work for a guy and I do love "bright" embroidery......

Thanks for responses. Well, I did it in the dk. blue. Looks good, but still kind of hid in the dark blue on the towel, but it will have to do. Thanks again. I did think about lime green or some brighter color, but just thought I would go with the blue.

I like the suggestion of a lime green.

did you use a stabilizer topping ontop of it. It will help the thread stay on top instead of melting into the fabric.
