Have had bassets since I was a little girl - they are just the best! They never lose that puppy cuteness. We lost our last one about 2 years ago now...can't bring myself to get another - yet. This pic is making me want to go find me one!!

That puppy is adorable. My husband and I use to breed and show basset hounds. They are such sweet dogs. Stubborn but sweet.

If you showed in the 1960's you probably meet my dad. He use to show a lot.

We started showing in the late 60's but mostly in the 70's. We lived in Louisiana. Our line was based on the Musicland Bassets. Our kennel name was Lagniappe Bassets.

She's absolutely adorable.

The full belly is cute, but if she already hassn't had it done, get a stool sample checked for worms. It may very well turn out negative, but sometimes the full looking bellies on puppies can be an indication of worms. Or maybe she's sleeping because she just filled her belly with supper!
