Seems to me if they're fuel efficient, they should be at the BACK of the parking lot so the people can walk to get some exercise. What makes them so special :?:

Me, too. Me, too. I usually park away from the store, but then I can still walk to where I want. Really get mad when the car with the 'blue sign' pulls up in the parking spot and Jr. or Missy(pardon, if this is someone's name) hop out and bop into the store and no one else is in the car.

Know what you mean. Thanks to some college athletes who were using handicap tags a few years back, we are now supposed to carry a letter in the automobile that identifies the handicapped person and that person is to be present in the car. However, I've never heard of anyone being questioned.

My hubby & I got to think'in maybe in the future We will have such as this for Electric plugin cars and you would park and plugin at those spots?
8-)
You can bet you will not only be charged to plug in your car but also for the parking spot if they can get away with charging as much as they can.

I am with you. And my van still gets good milage even if it is 11 years old. I want the fuel efficiant cars to be around a little longer so all the kinks are worked out before I envest in one.

I've pushed him half a block in blazing sun, wind and rain, while younger, able bodied persons jog trotted to the store to get out of the weather. No one ever went back and moved their cars when caught at this, but I did call the police several times and saw them get tickets when they returned to their cars.

Their selfish excuse? "It's the only parking space NEAR the building'!!!!! And they were using an older family members' blue parking tag.
not everybody who looks 'able-bodied' is. you can't tell who has a failing heart, a mental disorder (and someone else is driving)
or a siezure disorder that strikes unannounced. my father looked fine, but could barely walk to the store doorway. there aren't enough blue-zoned parking places and they aren't well-enough enforced.

the same thing is true in a ladies' room. i want to fall with space around me, not cracking my head on the flusher. and i don't want to explain to anyone why i am where i am.
