New way to make returns to Amazon
I recently learned that Khols has a Amazon return center in the stores. The new return policy at UPS and Kohls is really hassle free now. There is no need to package the item or label it. Take the return and scan the bar code Amazon sends to you. Refund is credited to you as soon as the scan is received. Took me about 20 seconds from handing the package over and walking away. It's getting rather scary to me to see how easy and fast every thing is these days. Good and bad at the same time.

Target does the same with most returns. I have stood at the landfill and watched the truck dump the merchandise in the big chute. It's for tax reasons. Very depressing. I'm sure other big companies do this too. I remember when Hancock Fabric went out of business due to bankruptcy. All the bolts of fabric not sold was doused with black dirty oil and dumped.
Now that most fitting rooms are closed to try on items, the returns are staggering to the dept stores. One employee told me the return items can't be put back on the racks or sold. So what happens to the return clothes?

I don’t understand why these returned items couldn’t be given to worthy causes - or places where people can pick up items they need for free. Here June Mooresville (and other cities in NC) we have the Christian Mission where people in need can get what they need for free. I won’t donate to Goodwill or Salvation Army any longer as they have those retail stores and I sincerely doubt what trickles down to people in need. It seems like such a waste and makes our landfills get so much fuller when so many people could use especially the clothing right now.

Wow, no wonder they are so quick to credit and not want something back. We ended up with two 6 foot Christmas trees a past neighbor ordered that were sent to her old address. She said the return postage was more than the original tree cost. We donated them to my father in laws nursing home. Hopefully after the year we've had, they will bring some cheer.

Trying to return items to Walmart online is not so easy. 1st I tried to get the order cancelled as it wasn't due to be shipped till January. Even went online to Walmart's "Chat" and she cancelled it too, then 2 days later I sent another email to cancel it. Neither one of us ever received a response from the seller....."MarketPlace". And then all of a sudden the item gets shipped. Must have put a bug in their backside to ship it earlier than they wanted. Talked with "Chat" again about how to return it and she told me to take it to my local Walmart and I'll get my refund straight away. Not so. They in turn have to send it back and once Marketplace receives it I'll get my refund. Another item I ordered supposedly got shipped to another address, another town no less plus I'm sure it wasn't what I ordered as it was way too heavy. Talked with Chat again and they said they'd issue a new order to be shipped. Waited a couple days, didn't see anything in my account so emailed the seller myself only to receive an email claiming they were out of stock and would issue me a "REFUND". Again, not an instant refund but will have to wait probably another 5-10 days to see it on my credit card account.
In the meantime, someone on Saturday decided to try using my credit card to purchase $380.31 in groceries at some Walmart but I have alerts on my card to warn me so they declined it on that end. Now my credit card is closed and I have to wait 5-10 days for a new one so won't be ordering anything online for that time period. Why don't these folks get a real job instead of trying to steal from others.
Sorry about the rant but I get so ticked at folks that work so hard to steal from others that worked so hard to get what they have. I thought these credit cards were more secure with the chip and holgram, etc but obviously they're not. So far since moving to Iowa both my credit cards have been hit as well as my bank debit card. Luckily by having these alerts they've saved me from a lot of grey hairs and teaching me "PATIENCE".

When I shop at Walmart online I make sure it is from Walmart and not a different seller. I only order items that are Amazon Prime on Amazon. Instant returns with no hassle. I use paypal for all others with one credit card on file that has a very low limit. It's awful that there are low lifes out there just waiting for a chance to steal anyway they can.
