I am Ninnie to my grandson. Once someone ask him if I was his grandma, and he said, in a very indignant voice, No! that's my Ninnie! Being the first, he got to name me. And now we have 3 grandsons, and I am Ninnie to all of them. The oldest has shortened it to just Nin. When I ask him why he said that Ninnie sounded to babyfied

I'm Nana but my sister has the best name, Me. She always told the boys to come over to me RIGHT NOW so they thought her name was ME and it stuck.

Both my Grandma's were both called Grandma... and both Grandpa's where Grandpa.

My aunt is Mema to her grand kids, my mom goes by Nana or rather will go by Nana since Eden does not speak yet, my friends Gma is Uma, my other friends gma is Ma or Mom (She was raised by her grandmother), and my other friend calls her gma Nani.

Sorry had to include those since mine were traditional...

I call my Mom Crazy Lady, but out of deep respect and jokingly of course, if it bothered my mom, she'd tell me. But between yous guys, me and the sewing machine, she is a little batty... lol :P

My two oldest grandsons, 26 & 23 call me Grandma. When Olivia came along my DS thought calling both Grandmothers Grandma would be confusing. So hopefully Olivia will be able to say Grammy soon. When I tell her to say Grammy she says Mama. At least the sex is right. I get to see her tomorrow and Sunday as we help them move to a new house. Hopefully my main job will be Olivia watching. No sitting with her. She was 11 months old yesterday.

Grandmere due to French background, but only grandchild who is old enough to talk has shortened it to "Mere", which I love.

Mine just call me Grandma and that is a very sweet name to me. Everytime I hear them calling my name I get a little chill going up my spine.
