My DGD called me Memaw for the longest time. She called my mom Grandma. After my mother passed about four years ago she started calling my Grandma.

Noah calls me Grammie Barb.
Zack calls me Mom Mom ('cause I'm his Mom's Mom).
Hailey has never called me by any name. I wonder what it will be?
Taylor is only 4 weeks old, not saying much at this point.

They call my husband Poppa. Noah says Poppa 'cordion because he plays the accordion. My kids call him Pa, from Little House on the Prairie- they said he looked like Michael Landon with his long curly hair.

5 of my grandkids call me Huney and the youngest who is 12 calls me Grandma. The oldest is 22yrs old and of course he started all of the Huney calling. We raised him and my husband when Jake was very little was trying to get Jake to say GGGrrrrgrandma, and my husband called to me to come and listen and of course my DH said, Huney, come and hear Jacob. From that point on I was and have been Huney.

my brother and I used to call my Grandma "Gucky".. I think it was because her family used to call her Chick or chicky. I guess we couldn't say Chicky. She loved it and it will always be a wonderful memory to me!

Today I went to the store called Tuesday Morning and was able to get a pair of 4" Fons & Porter thread snippers for only $5.89. What a steel. I also found a free pattern for the Bargallo quilt on a sight called Big Horn Quilts and many other fun patterns.

Like a couple others, I was Mawmaw for awhile, and then about school age they started callimg ,me Granma. I never pushed the granma, but at times when I or others spoke of me they would say grandma, and the little ones just picked it up. To me that is about the sweetest name I have!!
