Well guess that is the way thing are going, colder in west Texas than in Denver.LOL Was in Littlleton for Thanksgiving and it was cold, but no snow. Son and wife just bought a house and moved "down the hill " as they say up there. They sold their home in Evergreen (8300ft elevation) So happy , now I can breath when I visit. I am use to sealevel living. I don't mind a little snow now and again, but I sure enjoy it when I can pull the covers up over my head and glance out the window at the snow flakes. They call it retirement. I didnot enjoy the snow in NJ when I had to drive 30 miles in a storm because I had to be at work at 6:45am and the snow plows were not out yet.LOL:)
Like I say "God Bless Texas"

We got over 6 inches of snow Thurs. night and yesterday. Some family members who live farther away had to cancel Christmas plans. Hopefully we can get together soon.

I am so glad you have your white Christmas - I hadn't ever had one until last year, when my family couldn't get here for Christmas lunch - they couldn't get here for New Year either, so we eventually had it on January 7th!

This year, we got snow even earlier, and for the past week we have been breaking records for low temperatures every night - the lowest has been minus 17.5C! Today I lost all the cold water feed into my house, including the loo! Fortunately my brother lives 10 yards from my house, and his water has been OK, so we have been trekking back and forth for water and toilet breaks, across 8in of snow. Next year I shall be dreaming of a GREEN Christmas. Roll on the thaw!

Lacelady you all have had a real banner year with the snow this year. That is from reports in the news. Hope you thaw out soon. I bet that gets old having to run over to your brothers for the loov break. Afraid I would have a problem, since I am 75 and have a weak bladder. I would take a bed roll and sleep on his floor.LOL :) where is that brotherly love when you need it?.LOL:)
God Bless and hope you have a merry Christmas. I guess those Christmases that you have trials like this are the ones you can laugh about many years from now.

I am just north of Atlanta and we have gotten a lot of snow today.. I hear it's been a while since it's snowed here on Christmas Day.. and I was singing "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" yesterday.. all day.. I guess you do get what you have asked for..

    Merry White Christmas!

Here in the Maritimes we very rarely have a green Christmas but it happened this year. It is sad but the only good thing is that travellers will have a safer trip thank the Lord. Merry Christmas to you all.

I hope you had a chance to make some snow angels :) !! We had 9.5 inches fall yesterday - unusual for us to get that much in one snowfall. Had to cancel plans for Christmas Eve but oh, how we enjoyed the beauty the snow left behind!
