No Power
#13
Hope you're back home by now. Ours went out from the storm but was only out 2 hours. We also have a wood burner, so don't worry about having to leave. It's funny how dependant we become to electricity. Even with all the candles, when we'd walk into another room we'd flip on the light switch. I was planning on sewing but by the time the electricity was back on I didn't feel like it.

Sorry you are out of power....we live in the woods and loose power from time to time. Finally bought a whole house generator because we were at the end of a line...and it took awhile for them to get us back on line....big sub divisions and things were done first. Now I never worry about it. Stay safe and warm...it to shall pass.

So sorry you are stuck with this situation. I can so relate as we were without power for four or five days a few years ago. We had to drive to Boomington from Elkhart because there were no hotel rooms close by. I think there were maybe 60,000 homes without power due to the ice storm. It was so cold that the ice cream in our garage freezer did not melt over those days. We used a fondue pot to heat water and such before we finally bailed out and came down to stay with relatives. Glad you were able to find a place to stay warm and praying that it doesn't last too long.

We have a suite and Bailey is not to sure of it. Here's kids running upstairs.....But, at least we are warm....For those of you who have ordered labels....please be patient.. They will get done. Just don't know when...
Thanks

I feel for you. In 98 we had a 3 days ice storm and were without power for 7 days, some parts of Maine for much longer. In early January being without heat can be life threatening. We had no extra cash for a hotel plus all of them were filled. The cold just gets right into your bones on days like that. I hope your power comes back soon Karen.
