You are going to need a really great sense of humor with this one. When my son was that young his excuse for getting in the wading pool in mid-April was - Buff wanted some one to swim with him. - Buff was our Golden Retriever and usually his favorite swimming hole was the creek. My Mom and me were thankful that Buff opted for clean water that day but my Gramma scolded us for taking it to darn lightly. She raised 4 girls and 1 boy-.where Mom raised 4 boys and me. So as long as there was no blood involved things were cool. P.S. my son just turned 39 on May 4th and we had snow on the 3rd but he went swimming on his B-day -he is my DIL problem now,,, but I still had to laugh he wore long pants and sleeves. He is wired uniquely : )

We have a friend that has a 8 year old. His Mom had to take him to the Dr. to remove stitches, the son asked the Dr. if he would get a cold if he got into the water when it was cold. The Dr. told him no. He asked this in front of his Mom, because she had not let him go in early. It totally surprized the mother that he asked the Dr. the question.

I told my dgd that she could not do something and without a heart beat she put her hands on her hips and told me "I will if I want to"

Oh my!!! Sounds like something my youngest son would have said. He is 30 now and still comes up with those one liners all the time. We have always said that he missed his calling....he should have been a stand up comedian. His wife is just as funny as he is. Put them in a room together and the tears flow from laughter.

Enjoy your little man coz he will be grown before you know it!
