    That is just beautiful. I also made a christening gown from my daughters wedding dress for her daughter. The other grandma was horrified that we cut the dress (actually just the train). It will be a family heirloom, though, and the dress itself is still intact to be worn by my granddaughter one day.

    I used scraps from my dress to make a gown for my daughter's baptism, both of them used it.

    what a fantastic idea!!!! I hate seeing wedding dresses just hang in a closet, but like most can't just think of someone giving them away. Your dress and coat turned out beautiful and what a treasured momento. Could also use to make a 1st Communion dress too.
