My SIL got her first bifocals a couple months ago and she figured while up town she'd do her errands. W And ell she said she had a headache from h-ll - she was dizzy and once she was out of town she had to pull over to be sick. She now wears her glasses a little lower on her nose while driving so she doesn't ''get caught on the invisable line''---no more headaches or nausea. I do understand the bright eyeglass case. If you was to look inside my purse you'd think I was carrying my own personal rainbow. I can find what ever I need real quick now.

I'm so sorry for anyone who has to wear bifocals, I tried for years and hated every time I put them on so last spring I has surgery on both eyes, very expensive but at least I can see, even can thread a needle. Hope you can adjust and please be careful in the mean time.

I have worn bifocals for about 8 years. my first pair did take a little getting used to. The pair I got a couple of years ago drove me crazy. Headaches etc. They finally figured out that the line on one of the bifocals was a tiny bit off and remade one of the lenses. Now they are fine. Good luck. If they continue to bother you take them back, sometimes you have to go over and over and over.

Wow I guess I was one of the lucky ones when I got my progressive glasses.
The person who did the fitting when I picked them up told me to look with my head (turn my head not my eyes) and I have not had any problems.
I am at the point of needing an other focal length. I have to look over my glasses to thread a needle to read really small print.
I have been near sighted all my life and do have astigmatism in both eyes.
Mum had her first eye operated on for cataracts last week. She is amazed at the difference. She cannot wait to have the other eye done in a month or so.

For me the headache and queasiness went away by the second day. Even with trifocals I still have to look over my glasses to thread a needle (and hold it about 2" from my eyes). I love the heart shaped case, I've never seen one like that. The only case for my glasses sits on my nightstand since the only time I'm not wearing them is when I'm sleeping.
