That is wonderful news!!! So glad it was just mucus or something simple. Now, no more rubbing, just in case!!! Hugs and smiles!!

pab: Actually, he didn't need to use stitches. He used a new method which only make a minute slit and then inserts a syring-type needle and emulsifies the catact, sucks it out and inserts the new implant. I was awake through both operations and never had a problem.
One of my best buddies had the same thing done. I 'babysat' him during recovery. If you knew him you would understand the reference. Worst part was, they taped the procedure, and he made me watch it with him!!!! EWWWWE!

Take special care and do as he tells you to. Your eyes are too precious to mess with

Very good it cleared up. Our eyes are so important to us. I can just imagine how I would be sewing everything but a 1/4 inch seam if mine goes.

Prayers are answered! Now, keep your hands away from your eyes! Blessed Christmas to you and yours!

This is what's sooo nice about this board--you find so much info besides quilting! I'm needing cataract surgery next yr -after knee replacements (any info would be helpful regarding thsese too) and NOT looking forward to the proceedure. I am an eye rubber also and it's habit from childhood. Can you REALLY dislodge the new lens after surgery? Am concerned as I really do not want to lose myeyesite.

No, you cannot dislodge them. And, the surgery was a cake walk (as the kids say!). I was up and around the same day. Very little discomfort except a little achy pain which went away with the Tylenol. Best procedure I've ever had and I've had a few (not knee surgery!)
