Its a sick feeling isn't it? But, addresses you can get one way or another. Papers and the patterns can be reprinted. You won't know what is gone until you are looking for it. Then figure out if you still need it and how to replace it if you do. Bet you ask to see the entire box next time before it goes up in flames. Funny how our thoughts at the moment are so much more important than the really hard stuff in life. Give him a hug for sparing your fabric. All will be well with this in no time.

Sometimes, when I clean off my computer desk (also in my sewing room) and old papers where I had taken notes, I get a box or container and throw then in there. Just so happens that I was in the process of re-organizing and I put some of the lesser used items in that box until I could decide where I was going to put them. I usually make a bigger mess when I clean something. then when it all goes back, there is some kind of neatness or order to it. He just caught me off guard and preoccupied! He did mean well. And, he did ask! so, I was just as mad at myself as I was at him.

Oh how awful!! The only time my husband is allowed in my sewing room is to grab the wastepaper basket and that is the only thing he is allowed to touch unless I say otherwise. He had tossed too many of my things away that I wanted to keep. After 53 years I think I have finally trained him!!!
