my husband is a certified TAZER instructor..He says the story is pretty realistic..The civilian version produces about 45 thousand volts....and when you push the button on yourself, YOU CAN'T let go...To be certified, my husband had to be TAZED...But he was on a mat with 2 officers on each side so he would not fall...He says it is a definite deterrent..Many times suspect scream, DON'T TAZE ME...I think they have a great fear..It does break up a fight....
If this particular story is true or not, doesn't matter, it was entertaining and made me laugh....
He has not bought me a tazer, but he did buy me a 9mm, with which I am quite proficient....
