Many quilters create other art forms and I love mosaics. It relates to quilting because you work in pieces and create lots of patterns, colors and designs. It isn't very hard -just takes some planning and the materials are endless. Please enjoy some of my finished projects. Moosegirl

Those are beautiful. It does remind me of quilting, except there are no seams to match!

Thanks for sharing - I've never worked with lots of different materials like you do. You certainly get some interesting effects. I'll have to take some inspiration from you.

You may have it already, but if not I recommend Mosaic Workshop: A Guide To Designing And Creating Mosaics or pretty much anything written by Biggs & Hunkin. I think it might be out of print now, but second hand copies do come up from time to time.

I did a class once that was called patchwork-inspired mosaics. Our teacher had been given a mini quilt and made a mosaic in a similar theme. Something to try maybe...

I'm a craft book nut, over 1500 in my library so I'll check to see if I have that book. My collection includes watercolor painting, gourds, jewelry, stamping/cards, paperdolls, mix media, collage and more. Moosegirl
