Wow, Amazing! I have never seen a hummer nest. We have Ruby throated and I put out the feeders and they come everyday. I think they have nests in our big cedar tree but have yet to spot it. They are so tiny and if the nest is high up there is no way anyone would see it. You are so lucky to be able to watch one nesting.

You are lucky to have a hummingbird. I have a feeder out but haven't seen one yet.

When I was a little girl we had a pair of hummingbirds that nested in a huge cedar tree that was in our front yard. They came back to the same tree year after year. My mom had a huge trumpet bush in the front yard also, which they loved. I also enjoyed them.

I put out feeders, and we get visitors, but no nesters here.

I didn't know it was that rare to have a nest around.

I think I'll consider myself lucky!

What a beauty - it must be magic watching the nest and hopefully, nestlings :)

I have hanging fuschias to attract our hummingbirds.

Wow, have never seen a hummingbirds nest. I haven't seen any hummingbirds at my house this year. Really upset as I was given three hanging baskets of flowers, plus have perenials that usually attrack them. Didn't put my feeder out which is a mistake I am sure. Love window feeders, my dad has had one for about 20 years and they always get lots of hummers right where they can see them close up. Was there last week and watched hummers feeding at the window.
