This is Buzz, a retired racing greyhound. We picked him up Saturday so he's still adjusting to new surroundings. He's very laid back for a young grey. He's only 20 months old and weighs about 70 pounds. So far, there have been no encounters with the two cats. We haven't seen the cats since we brought him home. They've never seen a dog so I don't know when they will decide to venture out. I did see one of them streak by going to my sewing room/sun room yesterday but so far they've kept their distance. I guess they will come out sooner or later.

He isn't the same dog as my avatar. That's Lizzie. We lost her about 3 years ago.

Thanks quiltingcandy. Thanks to your sister for her efforts. I think Buzz is our 7th grey. I gave up fostering them. I had 5 at one time because I couldn't resist keeping them. The ones I had were mostly seniors and were about 9 years old when I got them. Most people don't seem to want the older dogs and I feel so sorry for them. They've usually been in a home before and circumstances (death, illness, etc.) caused the owner to return them. I wish more people would be willing to adopt the senior dogs. They make great pets.

*** I like him. But my cat, Gus, would never stand for me to have one.

He looks like a good dog. Not sure if your cats will accept him.
